The new tennis centre is now open and is located at the Camberwell Road entrance to the park. The courts are open from 12pm to 9pm everyday of the year, except public holidays.
You can book tennis courts in advance by calling 020 7703 4275. Please give at least 24 hours notice if you are cancelling your booking.
To arrange tennis coaching, call 020 7525 1125. Groups are welcome! |

Burgess Park actually has seven courts and a practice wall. The venue now has 6 court floodlit and opening hours have been expanded to Mon - Fri 12-pm and weekends 9-9pm, we may open later in summer. There is a midweek social tennis session 7-9pm (free the first time you come!) and we have adult coaching lessons Sat & Sun mornings and Tue & Thu evenings. Best number to call is 0207-703-4275.

But, be careful not to leave your bicycle out of your sight. Mine had its back wheel stolen at 3pm one sunny saturday afternoon, whilst it was padlocked to the disignated bike grids next to reception!!!!
There is always something going down at Burgess Park, which makes life interesting if the match your playing is dull.

Played there a few times and had the impression that different courts have different surfaces, different kinds of concrete. Some of the courts are floodlit meaning you play in the evening
